Ive read on here from a couple of people stating they installed their own exhuast, is this something i can do without special tools or a welder? if so, how and approx how long would it take? thanks!

all exhaust work on these cars can be performed at home. how hard it is depends on your mechanical ability. IMO, the hardest part of the exhaust is headers. the rest is pretty straight forward and easy. simply unbolt old, and bolt in new. the only tricky part about the swap seems to be adjustment. which parts are you looking to swap out? with more info, i can give you more specific tips on what and where to make adjustments for good muffler tip alignment. anytime you adjust the exhaust for any reason, the tips will move-even if you dont touch the mufflers. (during an X/H pipe swap for example.)

A friend of mine is wanting to put flomasters on his 07gt, just a muffler swap.

That's simple. 1/2 hour to hour. Very easy bolt-on. i can be done without jackstands, but it's better to raise the car up. You may need to loosen the clamps where the h pipe meets the over axle pipes to adjust the tips, but that's not hard at all.
