I have a great opportunity to pick up some chrome bullitt wheels at a great price. However they are going on my 68 stang.

front 17x9 with a 5.95" backspace(+24mm offset) and the rear are 17x10.5 with a +27mm offset. The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm)

or this one....

The wheels are 18x9 with a 5.95" backspace (+24mm offset) and 18x10 with a +22mm offset. The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm).

I'd hate to loose out on this deal, if spacers are needed to make fit, what would I need? Also what tires should go with this setup . This is the deep dish rim for the rear.

Thanks.

I think you'll have backspace issues up front.
I have 17x8 with 4.5 BS and have about a 1/4" clearance at my upper arms.

you may have a better chance with the 18x9 clearing, it might put the upper arm actually inside the barrell, but you still might have issues.

it sounds like the bolt pattern is correct 5x4.5,

Personally, I think they're too big

On a 68 that's going to be one heck of a job.

On a 69/70 I'd say you could do it.. but on the 68 she's gonna be tough. If you are able to do it, you won't be able to lower the car...

Ok, thanks.. I wont waste my time with them then.. Im looking for the lowered look. Larger in the back and smaller up front.. What about 16's in front and 17's in back? Or would just a tire difference work with 4 17's & suspension?

you can fit 16,17,18 what ever you want, backspace is the issue.
Personally , Id go with 17" all around.
Many more tire size options avail for 17" than 16"

i got 235/45/17 in front and 275/40/17 in the rear on stock 17by 8 cobra wheels with a 3/4" spacer in the front and none in the rear on my 67 vert the 245's rubbed too much in the front for my liking but my car is pretty low

Sounds like the max for the fronts, but dont sell yourself short on the rears. You can afford to go much wider, without doing any mods.
you can go 275 on the width if you have the backspace correct and maybe even a little wider, if you do a little massaging with a sledge hammer.

you can fit stock 17" bullitts with a 1.25" spacer. My buddy has em on his lowered 66 coupe, nice.
