Can I run no pcv system?

i had run my car for a while with just a breather, and the oil mist smell was killing me. What i did was just add a check valve in the line and hooked the pcv back up, so it closes under boost(my stock pcv was leaking), and just put a breather where it was on the oil fill neck

I think i asked you this Kyle but i forgot, where did u get that check valve from? And after you added that, you kept your breathers on the vc's? No more oil mist?

i was having a problem also with the oil cap blowing off under boost so this is what i did. forget all the other nonsense and get a brake booster valve, you know, a one way check valve and install it inline with the pcv valve. this way only crankcase vapor is going into the upper manifold but air isn't allowed to go through the pcv into the crankcase under boost. excessive boost pressure in the crankcase is not a good thing.
