Can I use an 8.8 axle housing from a fox body?

Has anyone put in a fox axle? I am looking to build up a rear axle and I can get a hold of an 8.8 assembly from an '87 Mustang. I plan to put a new carrier, bearings and SN95 axles into it. Do all the mounting points match up with a '94? What about the brake lines (drum vs. disc)?

I am going to look at the axle and I'd like some pointers on what to look for.

Please share your experiences.

I can't ever remember how it works but the housing is a different length between the fox cars and the SN95 cars through '98 and then 99-04 were a different lenght also. I want to say they are 1/2" narrower in the 94-98 and another 1/2 narrower 99-04.

FRPP lists the same part number for all years .
