You ran an 11.5 @118 with 411's? you must of had to shift into 5th. I'm sorry, but with all due respect, I don't buy it. [ unless you drive an auto ]

Lol, want to see the timeslip! Btw, I am running taller than stock tires which will give me more mph/rpm at the finish line. They are approximately 27" tall. I am turning about 61-6200 rpm when i cross the line. I also have the rpm limiter set at 6700 on my nitrous tune.

Why would an auto yield any more mph than a 5 speed???

I was car #450.

I agree Brian, but I would still raise the rev limiter while on the bottle, just to be on the safe side if you do bounch off of it.

JayC, didn't you go by another name years ago? Are you still running the car?

I've always been JayC Same car I've had since 2002. It gets faster with age. My N2O and N/A best were set last November with over 112K on the stock shortblock.

Please,I 'm 56 yrs. old and have been racing for 30 years. I did not know he was running 26" - 28" tires. I assumed he was on stock tires. I realize tire size changes gear ratios. So back off, I was respectful in my 1st post to the guy, you should grow up and do the same.

I'm also your age. Your post sure sounds dis-respectful to me. Why question Tim when you don't know the basic facts about our cars? Please lead by example

C' mon, I said " with all due respect ". How is that disrespectful. I didn't slam him. Maybe I don't know the ' basics " facts about our cars, but I was able to install my Paxton 2000 and install my 373,s myself. I apoligize to you and the original poster. You know as well as I do things can easily be misinterpretted when writing on these boards. I don't race my car, so I don't know much about the strip. My Mustang is mainly for shows and maybe 4000 miles per year on the road. in the 7 yrs. since I bought her, she has never seen the rain. Once again I am sorry if I offended anyone.

It's OK, I probably was a bit to sensitive. Tim is a respected member and fellow nitrous addict. He also gives tons of useful knowledge and actually backs it up with experience. He's helped me on occasion and I hope he continues.

OK, nice!! Really good 60 ft. time too, that is crucial in getting a good ET. I race on tracks, not strips, I run my 1989 Porsche 928 S4 on these tracks.

I tried a 200 shot back in the day on the stock intake and it didn't like it too well, lol.

I then swapped to the bullitt with the nos nozzle setup at a 225-250 shot. It ran like a champ until one day on the dyno a noid stuck open. It wasn't pretty...

I was told by Chris Winters of Crazy Horse Racing in NJ that for every 1/10 you take off your 60 foot time equals 2/10 off on your ET.
He knows what he's talking about, having taken 100's of runs down the strip in his 600hp Cobra. I personally don't know if this is true or not.

That's pretty accurate. Maybe not quite 2 tenths, but close.
