Ok im a little confused ,first off in regards to the 3 wire stock connector that has the 3 wires in it 2- or/bl and one blk/wht,do I cut and just tape up the or/blk wires and use the blk/wht for the stator(little connector from the new alt) the oval connector remains unchanged,just plug and play.the stud on the new alt goes to the starter relay,battery side using 4GA wire and should be fused 150A.
can someone please clarify the 3g upgrade

Doesn't sound like you're confused at all. That's how it's done.
Just be sure to tape up the ends on the black/orange wires really well, since they will be hot from the starter relay stud. It'd be even better if you got a couple of crimp-on wire caps to insulate the cut ends of those wires.
