Hey folks,

my stock hardware is coming apart. Two of the upper studs that retain the water pump have broken in the timing cover! Summit has several timing cover bolt sets available and I am confused as to which one I need, some are spec'd for Aluminum water pump, cast iron water pump...I am using a Bosch direct fit replacement pump on an otherwise 'stock' (on the outside at least :) ) engine.

Also, I would really like to replace all the studs that hold on the accessory brackets...mine are really coming apart!

This hardware looks relatively inexpensive in the scheme of things but I am concerned I I will order the wrong set....so please share if you are in the know!

Thanks :) :) :)

See http://totallystainless.net/totally.html for the bolts. Last time I checked, they didn't have the studs. Nice folks, very into cars of all types. They have all kinds of stainless fasteners for almost every car. The prices are very reasonable, less the $10 for the water pump kit without the studs.

The studs are a Motormite item available at your local Advance Discount auto Parts store.

Motormite Water Pump Stud Kits for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks w/3.8L, 4.6L, 5.0L, 5.8L.
