I bought a lower Intake but didn't notice that there was no EGR passage in the middle, I am wanting to convert to a Fox style egr setup, cause header bung is stripped off and the egr tube is broke. Is there any way to have the EGR passage drilled and tapped out? The intake has had lots of port work done to it is why I am wanting to do this if possible, or do I need to just sell it and get a GT-40 or Cobra Lower.

Not sure about your intake question

but

Can't you get a new bung welded in your header tube?

Grady,
I know your the expert, when I bought the cheap headers we did buy the bung from a speed shop and welded it on before we found out the cheaps did not fit well at all with the pass. side exhaust. Then I went with bbk's and had no trouble.

it cleans up the passenger side A LOT, along with removing the smog pump (if you have O/R mid pipe)

I have read that you loose gas mileage and in some cases that it runs pretty bad when the egr is deleted, I have no way at the moment to remove the egr function in the puter.

Just going by what I have read. Everywhere says to leave it on, to reduce pinging and it will lower cylinder temps by reintroducing the unburnt fuel back it the cylinder to be burnt again, seems like it would make it hotter, but from what has been said without it will likely cause it to ping and mileage will suffer as well? Not sure
