Can you cap off the water pump hose?

Well the first size has to be small than the bottom because the sensor is smaller.

Again, as far as the sizes, I was just going by what it said on the lid of the Dorman drawer. I know 1/4" sounds way small, but maybe they're going by inside diameter instead of thread size...?

The part # and pic matched the part that I wound up using, so maybe their description is wrong (but the part # should be correct). I dunno. All I know is that it fit like a glove. Take out your ECT, mosey on over to Autozone with that part #, and see if it matches, I guess.

I believe this is what you need

Auto Meter


Did more looking into it, the manifold has a 1/2" NPT opening for that sensor, so there is your outer dimension. So im thinking its a 3/8" NPT female end that is needed.
