Replace the stock PCV valve from the lower intake and the air tube from the valve cover to the TB with some other form of vent system? Do you have to go with an aftermarket vacuum pump to improve the system? Or can we use some sort of header evacuation system?

The reason I'm posting this is to remove any oil residue from getting into the intake, I don't see how oil+air can make a clean burning car? Or should I just get an oil seperator (normally used for air compressors) and stick it in the PCV valve line?

Whatever's your pleasure as far as what to do. It takes 10 mins and 20 bucks to do the separator (it's what I run) so I think that's worth a shot personally.

A breather system in lieu of the PCV is probably the next logical step.

If you wanna see a good article, Vristang has one on his website (link-to in his sig). He tried many things with his big Windsor and reported some of the results.

I may try and do an old school setup but put two lines from the valve covers to a breather tank / collector. Which will allow the crankcase to vent and at the same time collect the oil vapor and not release it to the atmosphere. Eventually I can mod this to use a vacuum pump.

I think my problem is from not having a baffle, but I do have oil going up the PCV valve line in the back of the intake too though I'm being attacked on both fronts lol

Do you have a baffle on the Cobra lower intake? The new Ford baffle has been reported to work VERY well.

Have you tried an oil separator?

Jason, I read your link that was posted, and I think I'm going to try adding another pcv valve to my drivers side valve cover. Have you done this with good success? Will I need a baffle under the valve in the valve cover? I'm going to try this soon, and will post the results.

The second pcv worked awesome for me.

I was filling my Home Depot oil spearator within 1 tank of fuel...
Once I put the second pcv in, I did not accumulate any significant amount of oil in the separator.
(I still had oil issues due to valve seals though...)

You do want some kind of baffle on the valve cover pcv. If you look around enough you should be able to find a valve cover cap, which has an integrated baffle.
The one I found was tall, but was baffled.
