lol, I like this thread, I agree with the "what makes you happy" factor, but whenever I see a dude in a bug I just think "teh ghey." The only time I was ever in a bug was when I was 8 I think.....and this hotty that worked for my dad in the army took me down to the px with her in her convertible, and I thought that was the coolest being in a vert bug.....but then again, I was 8 with some hot 25 y/o army secretary. 250 miles on 10 gallons is 25mpg......that's garbage gas mileage, we can almost pull that being gentle in a 5.0. Where are the pics??

This kid I know had a Beetle that was slammed with cool little wheels. Kinda rat roddy, but he got sick of it cause its a rattly old POS. Good luck but I would never do such a thing.

ANDDDD I was on the turnpike with and stayed with traffic. My brother says I was at a constant 70 mph and i wasnt flooring it. Close but not all the way lol. and 25 mpg was with the car in 4th gear almost topping out. If you run a mustang at the same rpms itll drain the gas way quicker.

Oh and pictures will be up tomorrow. I got 2 crappy pics for the moment. I do have video though.

My dd isnt much faster(94 Yota 22re 5sp on 31's) than a bug but at least I can run one over haha....super beatles do kinda suck imo but there are some quick bugs but it cost too much money to even have a streetable 13 second bug...they dont even handle that great..herbie was a movie dont let it fool ya lol

since i was a baby, my parents got me a plan that every month they pay a certain amount of money towards my college funds and my grandpa is pitching in to add extra money also. So by the time Im 18, they have the money I need for college.

And i have to disagree with the bad handling thing. This bug handles amazing. the car has zero body roll and it has mcpherson struts (lowered)

all superbeetles had mcpherson struts. if you really want to wake it up, put a set of twin carbs and a porsche style doghouse fan. you arent going to gain much hp, but the throttle response will be insane.

I know they did, but thats why im saying it handles good. and im not going twin carb anytime soon. if i want individual carbs, ill need 4, i have a dual port engine. thats like $700 itself. Then I need the intake for it which is about $110. The fan idk about. I still need to learn about these motors and what i can get for them
