It'd be going into a 331 stroker, have all bolt ons, and what not. AFR 185cc heads, JBA headers and Cat4ward exhaust. I realy want something that sounds, well, menacing...if you get what im trying to say. Something when I'm idling, ricers will think twice about revving it. Lol. No I don't street race, but intimidation is 60% of the battle, IMO.

The anderson N91 cam sounds like it will fit your needs. Besides sounding good, it'll make good power too assuming you're using the right exhaust, manifold and tb. I'm assuming those are 1 5/8" shortys? Those don't belong on your 331 but if you have them and you are on a budget, use them. Do NOT forget the matching valve springs!

Hey tx200gt, I just took a custom D&D cam out of my that has probably 1500 miles on it. If your looking for an intimidating cam, this is it. The lift is about .540 w/ 1.6rr. I ran 1.7 with no clearence issues and AFR heads also. This stick was cut for my AFR set-up. I'm switching to a turbo, so I'm replacing it with a smaller one. It's yours for $100. I can send the all the specs.

I like the N91, but I really wanna stay away from the 4.10s. I'd want something that can have a topend over 80, if you know what I mean.

No, I have no idea what you're talking about? I'm looking to do 4.30 gears in my car and it'll go a HELL of a lot faster thann 80 lol.

I thought cars with higher gears topped out at 80-90...oops! Lol! Also, would me putting on a Procharger D-1SC effect the cams performance?

It changes the characteristics of what the cam needs to be. Im sure it would still make decent power, but a blower cam would be better. A cam has the job of bringing together all the components in the engine...if a cam is made for a N/A big windsor stroker, and you put it on a 302 with a blower pushing 20psi for example, its not gonna be right.

On the gears, you definately dont top out at 80-90. If you did, they would be useless in the quarter mile! I cant imagine how big of gear you would need to actually top out at 80-90...seeing as the 5th gear basically cuts it in half.

The only thing gears will do is raise or lower your highway cruising speeds....outside of the other performance gains.

Maybe this will help you to see that steeper gears are not as bad at limiting your speed as you think.

My mild combo pulls 6K right at 90mph in third gear.
