Alright there are some things being said here that just don't make any logical sense to me. But I know sometimes these things aren't intuitve so maybe someone who knows more about it, I admit I don't know alot, could help me understand this better.
I do get the whole concept of venting metered air into the atmosphere resulting in a rich condition, because fuel will be supplied for air that isn't going to be there. But wouldn't bypassing that air back into the intake system cause it to go rich anyway? It seems to me that when the air is metered and the fuel is added, the computer is expecting that air to be in that engine at a certain point in time. If you delay the time it takes the air to actually reach the engine, the computer has no way of knowing this, and your still going to get alot of fuel with a little air. And then, if you don't recurculate the air back infront of the meter to be metered agan, when the air does reach the cylinders after being delayed, the computer has already added the fuel for it earlier, and that fuel is already gone, so now wouldn't you have potentially dangerous lean condition?
And the other thing, I was under the impression that the PCV valve is a one way valve, only allowing air to flow in one direction; out of the crankcase and not in. Now I'm not to sure.. so which is it? and if it's allowed to flow both ways... whats the point of having the pcv valve in the first place then... wouldn't it just be a tube? If it does only allow air to move out of the crankcase and not into the crankcase... then you don't need to disconnect the pcv system whatsoever on a boosted car... you'd probably need to put some hose clamps on it so the pressure doesn't blow all the hosing off.. but the pressure shouldn't reach the crankcase if the valve is good. THe line from the TB to the valve cover is a different story however as this is just a tube... But couldn't you just put another one way valve on this line aswell and completely get rid of the whole breather cap oil mist problem?
