Update:

I will be going to pick up an engine stand tonight. Will get motor home hopefully, fingers crossed, in a week. In the mean time, looks like tonight I get to put a radiator in and flush the system. Found a leak on the passenger side top under the mount. Wonderful! I do need some experts opinion on a combination. What I am thinking is I do not want this 351w to be a fire breathing monster. I will have the cast heads redone, maybe some porting if I can find someone to do it(I would try but not on this one), 1.6 or 1.7 rockers, either custom ground cam or out of the box cam? Do you think on a stock bottom end this will net me 300hp? Just a thought. Any other ideas on economic combinations would be great! Thank you.

Finally got this thing apart. Found a bent push rod on #3 cylinder intake side. No bueno!!! Anyway, got it down to the short block last night. I will look at the cylinder walls better tonight and I am hoping to not have to bore them out. Will keep you posted.

I do not believe it was. I left it in the warehouse here at work. He had told me that it was running warm, so maybe a head gasket issue. But the head gaskets looked ok. On the passenger side with the bent push rod, some of the valves looked to be not closing all the way when I took everything apart.

This sucks. So I found the casting number on this block and what do you know E9AE-6015-AA-14. 1989 block wrong lifters too expensive for me to fix.
