ok, so ive searched and still cant find the answer to my symptoms.

last week while driving down the road i noticed a weird feeling while cruising on a flat street. the feeling is like trying to drive 20mph in 5th gear, the whole jerky, milkshake feeling. at the next redlight i realized my rpm was down to about 600 and it sounded like i have a big cam. on cold startup the car wont idle at all and while warm the idle bounces between 600 and 1000. and lastly its running really rich.

things i have checked for: broken or loose vaccuum lines ( visual and with trotle body cleaner) timing was dead on at 10* with the spout unhooked, plugs are fine, wires fine, and there is no miss.

i actually like the sound, but hate the drivability! can somebody please tell me where to look next!!!

I think it could be your idle control valve or your tps sensor so check those out because if your idle control valve is dirty or is bad or your tps is set wrong or it's just bad it will cause the same problems you're having so check those out. GOOD LUCK

i thought about the IAC but ruled it out because of holding an idle semi steady. in my experience a bad IAC will cause wild swings. i didnt however think of the TPS.

thanks

anybody else have an idea?
