I HAVE A 02GT WHEN I AT THE TACK MAKE TWO PASS OK 3 TMIE NO GOOD WILL NOT GO IN 3 PUT A NEW SHIFTER A PRO 5.0 HELP ME

Need more info....did you just miss a gear and are mad as heck now? I have a pro 5.0 and have missed gears occasionally, but its because I let off the clutch too fast.

What year is your car? Possably bent shift fork...or blew the syncro if it wont go in gear at ALL. If it goes in when the motor is OFF then its probably not the syncro, and I would lean to internal damage.

BTW turn off CAPS please. Makes it easier for us to read.

So it doesnt work for a while, then on your way home 3rd gear starts working? Is this only when your trying to shift fast?

I know if I miss 2nd at the track, it gets hard to go into 2nd for like a day or so...and just about every run after that I miss 2nd. Once it starts, its like my tranny screws for until it cools down. Is that what problem your having?

If it goes in fine any other time, in any other gear its probably not the clutch. Probably the syncros in the tranny. 1-4 syncros take a real beating in mustangs. 5th and reverse not so bad, since you dont go into those gears nearly as often, and rarely shifted hard into.

Well as far as I know, the best way to stop this is to not miss a gear . Best thing for you to do, which helped my 1-2 issues a TON is to buy a steeda traix shifter's HANDLE, and change your transmission fluid to royalpurple. the last time to the track I made like 6 or 7 passes, and didnt even come CLOSE to missing any gears. It was great....do those two things and you should be fine .

the early t-3650's had grinding and in extreme cases problems like you have, very common and most of the time it's a syncro/ shift fork issue..

did you ever have it pop out of gear while driving?

well i have is bbk headers and no cats slp exhaust 75mlthrottle bodie a/r manifold c/l intake 85 ml mas 3/73gears sct tune pro 5.0 shifter so i hop im doing some thing right
