Cant get the damn starter OFF!

lift up the motor after removing the mount bolts, remove the exhaust manifold and the starter pracitically falls out...

I just replaced motor mounts on my 98GT last weekend and the first step is to remove the starter. It is a B!+CH !!!! But a good way is to use a lot of extensions and swivels to get it out. It's tough but can be done. It's a lot easier to do it again once you have done it a first time. For installation, I placed the bolt in the right hole making sure the bolt wasnt poking through the other side where it threads to the tranny housing and then I used duct tape to secure it down. Then went back at it with the extensions and swivels and gave it a little tightening and the removed the tape and finished tightening the bolt. I feel your pain. good luck!
