Cant get throttle cable out of firewall help!

I took the right procedures to remove my throttle cable from the throttle body, and un-bolted it from the firewall, and it is disconnected from the gas pedal. Now the darn thing wont come out, i have tried prying it with a screw driver but no luck. Any ideas?

did you remove the inside ring that holds the cable in on the opposite side of the firewall...


With out that removed it wont come out
