Its a brace that goes from the tranny to the rearend.....I think it comes stock on f bodies but I've seen some on some stangs. And I can't remeber the damn name of it!! Also, would this be something worthwhile to get or am I just wasting my time?

I believe you're thinking of a torque-arm rear suspension set up. The torque arm when installed with a Panhard rod takes the place of the two angled upper rear control arms on the stock Stang. The Panhard rod controls lateral movement of the axle; the torque arm provides the torque reaction.

Go to Maximum Motorsports' website for more info on this set up. Most people who have it post that they really like it.

The F-bodies are set up with that kind of rear end. But don't get too excited. So is my brother's Volvo 940 and my sister's Aerostar van.

Thats the only thing I can think of. I heard is way a great mod if you are trying to make your car handle, and so great if you are a drag racer.

camaros have torque arms

they suck when you go to change trannies and you need a diffenent one for each tranny

but they are supposed to offer greater traction than that of a 4 link setup, even though my mustang "hooks up" just as good as my camaro
