I have been looking for something nice, something clean. A larger engine and suspension mods are a plus for me too... as long as its quality components. But NO rust or body dammage and I want a non ripped interior but Foxes in that condition are just outrageous in their prices! People asking almost tripple book for a stock 125K car!
I had opened my search to the 48 states but still... its frustrating.

I have found a few I like but man they are expensive. I like this one alot but dont think I could get him under $8000

around here, with the mods in consideration, it would probably go for about 6 grand...but 8 grand? I dunno about all that...maybe with a power adder or if it was stroked or something

thats just my opinion, that car is pretty clean...they may go for more in the market you're in

love it the way it is, or get the special edition lx wing for it.. or cobra wing would be nice.. but honestly if that were my car and I wanted to get rid of it good luck prying it out of my hands for less than 10k. You get what you pay for. Especially if it is a rust free coupe

Dude, its a FOX. They're freaking tinker toys, you'll want to do all the mods yourself. Find one in straight, stock shape for about 5 grand or so and spend the remaining 3K on mods. I know off the bat it will be a disappointment compared to your Cobra, but it'll pay off in the long run.

Oh, and BTW, I shopped for more than a year for my car, and that was 7 years ago. I'm sure they're getting harder to find. Keep at it and good luck!

There is an 85 GT T-top by me that is really clean and they want 5K for. I was gonna try for $4000 but when the ad was first posted it said 62K miles. Now it says 162K miles. So I couldnt get the H/C/I and slap it on with a block that tired. I would have to do a rebuild first.

It would seem that this is true for all "older" Mustangs. Easy to find in good shape but pricey and some even want too much for POS cars...

All you can do is have your funds in order, and keep your eyes open. There are still reasonable deals on decent foxes.

California always has nice foxes, for pretty good prices. If you do a search on LA craigslist youll probably find a good 10 notches and foxes in decent shape for a decent price.

Laser check jersey if your willing to travel lots of foxes. Thats a nice car price seems not bad at 8 for whats there, alittle suspect on that hp rating really once u get to 8 grand and lower u should be looking at body and interior condition and is it what u want is it the fox u want to put 10 grand under the hood down the road if so then u should get it, any motor mods it has and how long the motor lasts is just a plus, gives u time to save up for repowering. I bought my fox for body and interior alone the motor had 125 thousand on it and i wasn't being nice by spraying it wit a 125 shot really laser it seems like we all rebuild soon enough make sure your in love wit body and interior i was so i was happy to drop big money in the engine bay, ive had alot of cars and toys over the years the red mustang is my all time favorite.

Auto + **** red interior and he wants 9K Just reinforces my point about not finding anything resanable. Guess I will have to start looking at SN95s again. If I gotta pay 8-9 grand for an old GT then I would prefer an Aero Cobra with less then half the miles.
