The only way to launch this car is to do it slow and steady. If I'm on a hill its even worse.

I just got this car so I dont know how the trans and clutch is but the throw out bearing is gone and I know this has nothing to do with it. But considering the throw out bearing is gone I assume it still has the original trans and clutch.

The car drives perfect and doesnt drive lean or rich. Any suggestions on how to fix this and make it more responsive at the launch? thanks.

Maybe you just need to feather the clutch at launch more. Don't engage it fully right away, let it slip a bit at first. You also might check your MAF, if it's dirty the car will not have much power. Search the forums for "clean MAF" and you should find instructions.

Not yet mentioned but it's always worth while to check for any stored fault codes in the PCM. The check engine light doesn't need go on for a fault code to be present. Diagnostic port is in th engine bay passenger side between the strut tower and fire wall. It will require an OBD-1 reader. Unless it's a V-6 the port under the dash is non-functional so don't let a shop tell you that they can't connect to the port.
