We'll thought I had it figured out but the car just doesn't want to run right drove fine till I started tinkering with fuel pressure and idle screw to stop it from idle surge. Now I start out in first car pops then jumps coughs it's weird, if you get going in 2nd and third it doesn't do it just low rpm starting out car is 86 gt vortech 10lbs boost

so you just randomly started adjusting the fuel pressure and idle screw?

You need to post more about the setup
Sorry rebuilt bottom Canfield alum heads, custom grind blower cam, 1.70 roller rockers, edelbrock performer intake, 75mm pro m 30lb injectors, vortech v1. I just put a 2.62 pulley on blower and a intercooler. Now car runs terrible fluctuating idle stalling bogs in low gear, I disconnected the mass air sensor and car runs beautifull. Just driving normal don't want to blow up so with it disconnected I take it easy as soon as I connect mass air it starts running like crap again

You guys with idle/stall problems could save a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix. :D

It's free, I don't get anything for the use of it except knowing I helped a fellow Mustang enthusiast with his car. At last check, it had more than 134,000 hits, which indicates it does help fix idle problems quickly and inexpensively.

In the Surging Idle Checklist are the instructions on how to dump the codes. Start with that and post the codes you get. I will post 5.0 Mustang specific fixes fro the codes you post.

While you are waiting for a reply on the codes, read the rest of the Surging Idle Checklist and think about what you find that matches your problem.
