Get this! I'm transferring from Texas to Oregon so the company is paying to move my stuff. The Friday before I loaded my 94 GT onto the car carrier, I had installed a Stainless Steel Bassani Catted X-Pipe and welded in two new borla mufflers into the stock catback.
So, I arrive to get my car and one of my tailpipes is hanging at a 45 degree angle
I crawl under and take a look and it is obvious that the left side of the exhaust has been runned into the ground. I asked the car carrier what happened and he tells me that he did not even notice
Anyway, he suggests we can pull the car back on to the loader and use the hydraulics to take a look. He gets the car up and you can see the left side of the stock catback is up against the body. Also, both cats on my new SS X-pipe are dented. I'm ready to kill this f'er.
He then gives me a paper that says, "no new damage". I'm looking at this sheet and thinking BULLSHEITE!!!! I said what about the exhaust and he says put loose exhaust. Works for me. As long as there is something that says exhaust, i'm happy.
Long story short, the good news is the moving company is going to cover the damage. Guys, watch out if you have your stuff shipped. These people are hardworking, good intentioned individuals but we work too hard to do the things we do to our cars.
