Car Died 5-6 Times at Stop Sign Today!

Well i had just filled up with gas, and i went to start my car, and it didnt start, the second time i tried it did, so i gave it some gas, and from 3k to idle it the exhaust popped like hell. I pulled out of the gas station, and the revs wouldnt get over 1500, and it was studering bad. I pulled out onto the street and came to a stop sign, it died 5-6 times, it would only stay running if i kept the revs up, and it still popped, once i got it going, it took a minute for the revs to actually get over 1.5k, then it did fine, once i drove it.

Any ideas?

sure you didnt put diesel in it

How low were you on gas, if you got it real low and kicked up a bunch of chit at the bottom you could of clogged up filter maybe??

Could be bad gas.

If it was me I buy a new fuel filter and drain out that gas and try putting in 5 gallons of gas from another gas station and see if that fixed it.

if you really topped it off you can fill up your evap cannister and cause an excessive rich condition which can cause exhaust backfires

i didnt put anymore in the tank after it clicked off. The fuel filter is fairly new, but i did run it kinda low. But it only does it when its hot out, i run it low, and fill it the same in the winter, and no probs. Could it be the MAF, or O2s
