It's been pretty cold here lately, so I let the car warm up for 10 minutes or so (does great things for gas mileage ) when it's cold. The last couple days I can start the car and it'll start at about 1500 rpms (has to do with the clutch safety switch, didn't do it until I hooked that up) and then the rpms will fall to 500 and the car will die unless I give it gas. It'll do it a couple more times until it gets warm enough or something - I usually hold it about 2500 or so for 30 seconds-ish just to make sure. It usually idles around 750-800 (by the stock tach). What could be causing this? I'm sure it's cold-related, doesn't do it otherwise.

Car won't start at all with it unplugged. Car barely starts now, I think my starter is takin' a crap on me.

Your IAC could be sticking.

Car will start like crap in cold weather if your oil viscosity is too high.

Damn car - if it's not one thing, it's another. Doesn't die now, just has trouble starting. But only sometimes. Oh well....thanks for the help anyway, I'll have something to check if it does it again.
