Hey guys my girlfriend just bought a new/used 2006 civic with 15k on it. There was a "typo" on her title where they apparently mistook an "S" for an "8". I guess i can see how this happened, they do look similar.

But...the whole thing has me a little wierded out b/c there was apparently another mistake on there too. there are 8 records for this car on the carfax database...and with a 1 owner car with 15k that seems odd too.

If someone with an account could run the VIN for me i would really appreciate it. please let me know and i'll give you the VIN....thanks in advance.

i ran the vin for you...it says its actually not a 2006 honda civic? its a 1984 chevy pickup 4x4 with a 6 cylinder in it... i hope you didnt pay too much for it cause id say they screwed ya... lol

you're not kiddin. My girl's uncle works/owns a dealership and they bought this car at auction. They have bought multiple cars from him before and i guess they trust him.

When they went to register the car, there was a "typo" for the VIN on the title. I thought this was odd and here we are now. I think we are going to give the car back...and just tell the guy sorry...you lied to us and told us the carfax was good/clean and it wasn't. Then you made us pay "full price." what a d-bag.

yup we just called him...its going straight back. His loss for lying to us. What a dick...lying to family??!! especially about something dealing with safety.
