Just recently, after we got the '67 up and running again after a 2 year hibernation, I've had some problems. We've done a head job, changed the oil, change the radiator, spark plugs, alternator and starter. Now, after running the vehicle for a few minutes around town, the starts to shake and gasp after turning the engine off. And when it gasps, gasoline shoots out from the top of the carburetor. Also, many times, when I pull the key out of the ignition, the car is still running!!!!!!! and will not turn off after many tries (so I have to put it in DRIVE, then pull the key) Has this happened to anyone???? Or does anyone have any solutions.???!?!?!?! :bang:

sounds like a classic case of engine 'run-on'. Its caused by a few things: 1)too low octane fuel, 2)improperly set timing, 3)too high idle speed, 4)excess carbon build-up in the combustion chamber-though unlikely in your case because of the recent head work.
