Car is acting funny :(

Ok well I already installed the SCt chip in my car for my 4.10's and I am pretty sure what the problem is. Since the 4.10s arent in yet the car is shifting funny. Like i will be cruising at low RPMS and it will downshift out of nowhere on its own and the overdrive light will go off even tho i have it turned on. Will my 4.10s fix that or is something else wrong???

Can't say that's ever happened to me -5spd-, but I waited to get dyno'd for the SCT until after I got my 4.10's in. Pull the chip out and see if that helps. Why did you put the chip in now anyway.. trying to keep those miles down?

Well I went ahead and put it in to get one more thing off my list. Does anyone else know becasue Im going to get the gear is real soon I just want to make sure thats the problem and not something major. I hate to pull the chip back out but if I have to I will. It ran perfect for two weeks then it rained last night and go figure. The car doesnt know what gear to be in when under very very light throttle but everything else is perfect. So who knows?

bump....gears go in tomorrow i hope this fixes the problem...

You have an automatic, correct? You put in the chip for gears that you don't have yet. So it is shifting as if it has the 4.10s. The car thinks its time to shift, but in reality its not. When the gears go in, it'll be fine

Your making me feel better already lol thanks, now lets just all sit down and pray....be ok car, be ok! I think it will be I just get paranoid about these things easily.
