OK here is the scoop..
331, AFR 185's. 30 lbs Injectors, 75mm MAF Cal. for 19lbs Injectors. I run the TwEECer to tune my car.
New Wires, New Plugs, New Cap and Button, and I run a MSD 6AL & MSD Coil.
Here is the deal, I start the car it idels great. My A/F gauge is in the stoichiometric range.
I place the car into 1st gear, start to drive it seems to run good then as I get into the gas... its like I hit a brick wall the car falls on its face, not all the time but sometimes. I was driving on the highway today crusin along and I could feel a small hesitation as I'm driving & then sometimes it would also most all out wanna quit, after the bigger surge/hesitation.... I could smell a rich gas mixture.
Last year my MSD box failed me (my car would not start at all) so I sent it back to MSD they fixed it. I put the box back on my car two weeks ago and everything worked great. But now I have this prob. Could the MSD be causing this (hesitation/quitting feeling)? Would the box be cutting spark and thats the feeling I'm getting... of hitting a brick wall and then the smell of fuel.
Or would you guys think that it might be my MAF meter..... I know I should have one Cal for my right size injectors but with the TwEECer I can over come that for the time being. In the future I would like to get a bit bigger MAF with the 30lbs calibration.
I have not changed anything on the car besides the MSD box in the past couple weeks.. I'm still using the same tune that I was last year and the car ran fine.. and ran fine until now...
Any suggestions/experiences would be great to hear.
Thanks again,
Kris
