Hey guys,

I have a 2001 S281SC with 44k miles on it. Recently I had some missing/bucking going on under boost so I had the plugs changed out. The car seemed fine for a few days until I had it detailed. I think when the engine bay was detailed something got wet that probably shouldnt have. Now the car just falls on its face under boost. I cant tell if its missing or what, but I can hear the exhaust note change dramatically. I took it to my local mustang shop and from a quick rundown he says fuel delivery is fine, the MAF checked out ok, boost bypass is working, etc. The plugs were just changed so it couldnt be spark right? I suppose one of the coils could be bad? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Nevermind...my mechanic figured it out. There was moisture and degreaser all over the plugs and coil connections. I dont think I will be getting my engine detailed again

That has happened to me before on my 5.4 in my '04 F150. My Mechanic says these late model 4.6's and 5.4s are allergic to water. I clean them anyway with a pressure washer. Just have to be quick and careful. LOL
