Today I finally got my car back after months without it....and she's a ****ing animal..in the higher rpms she really starts to pull hard and I haven't even taken it past 5k rpm. I can really feel the power from those heads and finishing off the exhaust with the LT's :worship: It sucks I really can't get on it but from the little I do it really jerks you in your seat....the exhaust has taken some getting used to, its not as raspy as it used to be, it has to do with the modifying of the x-pipe to fit the LT's.. its a Bassani off road x-pipe now made into a shorty which I don't think Bassani makes It sounds alot quiter at 3k than it used to but at WOT it SCREAMS. I'll get some pics posted this weekend, I just picked it up about an hour ago, I get to wash it tomorrow morning ....I can't wait until I pass 1k miles

I can't believe you actually said your car is "done". You know damn well that your car will never be done, I know mine won't. Seriously though, congrats on the newly unleashed power. I know what you mean. I had LT's on my '87 5.0. It got much quieter in the low RPM's, but up top it was just plain rude. Keep up the good work.

I assume the hot spot location in the exhaust set up is still the same with the addition of your LT's ?

I wonderd about that B4 I did all my exhaust.

Also LT's do quieten the car down at low rpms. Seems weird but it's true. I have LT's o/r X, and a Magnaflow CB and it sounds pretty tame regular driving till you get on it.

BTW - what heads did you add ? Stock PI's, stage 2's ?

RED98Z28- In answer to your question, no I feel no low end loss. Actually it seems weird but I want to say my powerband has increased

68 & 00 GT- On Cobra's there are no "PI" heads those are only refered to with GT's, I know the heads from the 99 and up are a little different, there are even rumors of the '98 heads being a hair different. I kept my stock heads and treated them to a Stage 1 Porting, with new intake/exhaust guides, valve guide liners, resurfaced the heads and a valve job. As for my exhaust, he didn't actually cut my old x-pipe (bassani) it was a two piece x-pipe or something like that and he just had to shorten it up a bit by removing some pieces....he then placed the equivalent to a flow tube between the headers and the x pipe....I assume everything should be normal, it breaths fine... just got to get used to trying not to scrape the LT's (3x today )

'96 & '01Stang- What do I have planned next? Good question I'll probably get upper and lower control arms....I haven't even gotten on it hard and I'm getting squirely (sp?) bad. Eventually I'm gonna forge the old block and get a blower....but thats a while off.

Thanks for the replys guys!!!

OFF TOPIC: Red98Z28, how do you compare your stang and the Camaro? Which one do you like better?
