my heater hose blew a month ago or so...i don't drive the car that much but i have noticed since i replaced the hose and filled the coolant back to the appropriate level the car seems to be running hotter than it used to.
i have a mechanical water temp guage and it is running around 195...i could swear it used to run around 185-190 before. i have a decent amount of things done to the car and i know i should get a bigger radiator but someone mentioned to me that i should have bleeded the coolant system which i did not do.
can anyone explain how i am to do this? thanks for any input.

Well if your fan is operating correctly and your water pump is not leaking then I would look to the either the radiator or the thermostat being the culprit.
What thermostat are you running and how old is it? How old is your radiator?
