I recently did a tune up by changing the plugs/fuel filter/ and taking off the TB to clean it. Now sometimes it bucks a bit when I am barely touching the gas sort of light footing it and cruising around 25-35 mph. Today I was reading the Haynes manual and it says "do not clean the TB with any Carb/TB spray" So did i screw up? What could be causing the little bucks or surges?

No SES lights but I haven't asked Autoparts store to pull any codes yet either. Will fault codes still show up without the light?

I have noticed that not all fault codes will cause a CEL. So it might help to get the codes read.

If it were me, I'd just take the car for a drive out in the country somewhere, and beat the snot out of it until whatever is sitting in there gets flushed out. But that's just me.

There is a coating that they put on the TB and it can get removed if you use carb cleaner on it. Not sure that is why you are having problems. Are the surges really slight?
