Car Registry: Find a car thru engine code?

Hello, i'm new to the forum. I don't really own any stangs yet -BUT, I do own a 1970 429 super cobra jet DOVE-A Block. Boss baby. Now, I really, want to find the car of course, whether it be someone owns it or a prestigious barn find, i want it. I mean, there's over 500 of them out there still not found! So, I've never known this, but can I find the one that matches my block thru registry? Quite never understood the whole thing. -Chris
People, go on some back-roads and walk into deserted barns. Ya never know.

Is there a VIN number stamped into the block or heads that you have found?

after 68 all engine blocks had the vehicle vin stamped in them usualy around the top of the back of the block but it is usualy only the last five digits. odds of finding the car matching the block are slim to none.
