car running a little hot

i just picked up a 95 gt with 23k and i noticed that it runs hotter than my fox. a friend told me that the fans don't come on until 215 degrees. is this true and is there a sensor i can get so they will come on sooner?

Fan - High Speed Off 220.00
Fan - High Speed On Temp 224.00
Fan - High Speed On Temp 228.00
Fan - Low Speed Off Temp 204.00
Fan - Low Speed On Temp 208.00

You can get a chip or something like tweecer. I use tweecer for mine.

Fan switch installation

You can also get a plug and play controller (35 bucks last time I checked) at from Dc Control that will lower the fan on/off temps.
