My mpg in city have been bad for a while 12-14 going easy on it. My hwy mpg is alot better though, 23-26 mpg going easy.

Today I started my car with the door open and I could smell gas fumes. I also was told a while back that my car smoked black when I was at the track. My exhaust insides are black too.

I have cleaned my maf sensor, my ect runs at 204 (if that has anything to do with t-stat).

What else could I should I look for?

What do you mean about the ECT? It's a thermistor that will have varying voltage/resistance readings depending upon the temperature it sees. Do you mean that the low speed fan comes on at 204*, indicating calibration at that temp range at least?

Oh, I just saw your TwEECer. Any idea about your stoichiometry at idle?

Good luck.

I am still new at the tweecer. What is the stoichiometry?

I did some datalogs today and will try to post them tommorow. I did notice when I was logging when parked it said my throttle was part and I was not touching the gas pedal and my rpms were kind of high.

I will try to get some logs posted tommorow.

Stoichiometry is air/fuel ratio.

Your logic is sound - if the puter is loading at idle because it thinks you have the gas pedal pressed a little, that could lead to wasted gas while idling. Note that when it gets to things like that (where the puter baselining the TPS comes into play, along with real-time dynamics) Grady, Don and all the other smarties are the ones to ask - not me.

Good luck and bump.
