Fuel Car running worse after gas fillup

Yes...its called a lean backfire. You need to stop driving it around unless you like being stranded.

When you get the new tank it's best to use non ethanol fuel if you can find it. The ethanol likes to corrode metal and goes bad quicker than straight gas. This is the reason all the newer cars run plastic fuel tanks and lines.

I wish they made a plastic tank for our cars. No one wants the liability.

Yea I’ve been holding off on driving it for that reason haha. Do you think the fuel lines need replacing too or are those ok for now?

At the tank, you are dropping the tank right? And the fuel rail.
Don't forget changing the fuel filter.

So they kept your injectors? First,find another shop. Secondly,that injector probably could've been cleaned.

Yep I’m done with them I’ve already found another shop I plan on going to. I’m gonna try and sort it out myself but if it’s still driving weird I’ll take it there.

These cars are pretty easy to work on. Lots of knowledge here to help you work through things. If you end up needing some 24s I have a set I'd let go cheap.

Thanks man I’ll definitely keep that in mind. In regards to cleaning the fuel lines could anyone show me exactly what I have to disconnect and where I blow the air through. I just wanna make sure I don’t blow air in the wrong line and make anything worse haha

Ok so I found all of the fuel lines I took pics of them just to confirm they’re the right ones. So which ones do I blow air in and do I blow it on the side that has the connecter or the side with just the tube?

Correct. I would blow from the engine side to the back.
I would also consider rep!acing the rusted metal lines also.

You have the stock MAF electronics, but you have a C&L MAF housing. The housing has a sampling tube that can be changed out depending on what injectors you are running. You need to pull it and look at the color on the sampling tube to understand what you're dealing with. Here's the chart:

My recomendation is to ditch the C&L and the cold air intake. Buy a ProM meter that's calibrated for the injectors you buy and pick up one of the LMR factory air box reproductions.

Looks like I have the black tube which means 24lbs injectors. Great eye bro thanks alot

You’re supposed to look at the little tube that the sensor element is setting in. It should have a blue paint marking on one end if it’s for 24lbs injectors. If there is no marking it’s the 19lbs tube.

Yup blue marking. Any chance it could be 30lbs since the car has a cobra intake ?
