:shifter: Is there a set guide line for a cage in a car? i.e. 11 sec and under=roll cage? I know most of all the tracks i've been to require a helmet at 13.99 or below :shifter:
different tracks vary, and sometimes are stricter than guideline but....
11.49 and quicker needs a cage
'vert is slower...not sure , used to be 13.99 and quicker , but they changed everything this year. i'd guess it is 13.49 now
slicks (not cheaters) need long wheel studs + open lugs.
slicks needs ds loop
slicks need scattershield at 12.49 and faster
some of these may be wrong , but what my track says
Check with your track, or go to the NHRA site, they have most of those rules posted. Or get the rule book. If you put in a cage, its worth doing to meet NHRA rules.
