Hey, Anyone know of any programs or software for cars (how to do work to it, tune it good etc) my brother has a cd that he can look up anything for his 1997 ford f350 powerstroke super duty.. and along with all the rest of the 1997 ford truck lineups.. Anyone have names? places to download it? name is possibly all i need, i need it for my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, any help is appreciated, and for my cousins 1990 5.0 GT the software you put on your computer to basically work on your car or truck w/e, tuning and fixin stuff.

The software is the least of your concerns. It's not like you can run out and plug a Cat5 lan cable into your car and start programming away. There's nothing that you can just 'download' that will enable you to make changes to your car's tune. You need an interface. That interface will have to have it's own memory and a way of integrating with your EEC. Two of the more poplular setups for Mustangs are the TwEECer and the Anderson PMS. The software that's required to use these devices on your EEC is included with the interface itself.

I think he's lookign for service manuals on cd-rom.

I know they're out there, but no personal experience with them.

thanks guys.. but what im looking for is yes.. a cd type thing (but im going to download it) so i can look at it for making adjustments and tuning (service manual type stuff) how to clean things replace.. etc, just wanna know a brand or a name so i can try and find it online.
