I have an 87 fox hatchback 5.0 i did the mass air conversion and now having problems i checked idle air control and throttle position sensor the kit i got was off an 89 stick car with a9l ecu but i used my ecu off a 93 mass air gt could that be my problem Im new to this and trying to do this all myself for once and im getting frustrated
Car starts but dies after 30 seconds

If you feather the throttle, can you keep it running, or does it just die? It may, or may not be much help, but taking a peek at the Surging Idle Checklist that's located in the Useful Technical Thread Index sticky thread, at the top of this forum may offer some insight.

tried that if i give it gas it wont shut off i can drive it but it will stall if i come to a complete stop and when i start it the idle goes up high to 2000 then stalls someone told me about some wires i have to run under the car vss i think something about cruise control myother car i had engine was cruise controlled this one is not
