I think I also might have carb issues, I have a holley 750 in the garage and I know its overkill but is it too much even just for trying to start it??? and if so can i detune it somehow or change out the jets???

If the rotor is not close, do not pull the distributor. Loosen the mounting bolt and without lifting it up rotate the housing so the #1 spot on the cap meets the end of the rotor. Tighten it back up. From here, try starting the car.

Yeah, We're thinking the same thing. I was feeling nice so I decided to draw it out. No offense to this guy but I was always taught to explain things af if the listener knows nothing of what I am talking about. Sometimes it may come off as being sarcastic. I figure it will be a good write up if someone runs across it later and needs something similar. I remember having the same problem about a year ago on the Cuda. I posted here and we all got it fixed. Those darn coils, had two of them go half bad in a week.
