My car had a hard time starting last night, and it wouldn't start this morning.

The battery is about 2 months old, and does not have any corrosion on the jacks. I haven't jumped it yet, however its just not getting juice. (cracks, but barely)

This sounds like the alt, right?

I should mention that I'm running underdrive pullies. What alternator would you suggest using?

I'm going to start looking into alt and installation instructions.

If the battery is good and charged... the alternator can be bad and the car should still start. It will run until the battery is incapable of supplying enough juice to run the car. The symptoms youve described so far don't suggest to me that your alternator is bad. Lemme ask though: the car DOES turn over... it just doesn't start. Is that correct?

My alt just went. Good battery. Then I had the battery recharged. Then the car started and drove fine. The next day, dead. Had a new battery under warrenty. Then that one died. Replaced the ALT. Had the battery recharged, all is good in mustang land. Plenty of volts (above "O") in normal. I would reccomend the Ford Racing 90amp. $150 about.

It might not be the alternator. I have had the same problem with my car. Also an 89. Turns out there is a draw somewhere. Take the alternator to have it tested. I agreed with Daggar, it should still start if the car was sitting and had a charged battery. If the alternator is fine, get a test light and start pulling fuses.
