I tried to go home from work yesterday and my car wounldnt start. I cleaned the battery terminals (Optima Red Top) and checked all spark plug wire connections. I had a friend turn the car over while i held the coil wire off of the distributer. i wasnt getting any spark. I changed the ignition module under my cai but that didnt help either. I have a stock coil, stock distributer, 1 yr old distributer cap and rotor, 2 yr old spark plug wires, and a Mallory Hi-Fire Digital Ignition Box. I cant figure this out so my car is going to a local shop.
I could use some help here please chime in...

Could be a bad coil. Mine started going out a month or so ago.

I had an issue with an MSD box. Simply unplugged it from the circuit and hooked the wires back up stock, and it started right up. Simple test if you used adapter harnesses to hook up your ignition...

I looked at my box (snicker), since I had a shop install it i have no idea how to rewire it to stock settings. Looks like the box came with different wiring harness connectors and i dont know what to make of it, dont know which, if any, are stock/aftermarket wires. it all seems stright forward, doesnt look like any connectors can plug into anything else except the ones they are hooked up to...
can anyone help me out a bit further

Look atyour distributor. There is a harness that plugs into the distributor. Follow that back a few inches. If it come to another plug that looks the same, an adapter harnes was used.
Here is MSD's:

Just unplug both ends, and hook the end that keeps going back straight to the distributor. That should be it
If it doesn't come to another set of connectors, then they spliced it in. This splice could be the source of the problem, too....

Here's Mallory's adapter:

If they didn't used the adapter harness, then that was just plain dumb, as they've now farked up your harness for no good reason.....
