car won't start??

So my friend has a 98 v6 and it's been sitting outside for couple months not starting. I went over to check it out and the car seems like it doesn't have enough battery juice to start cranking. We made sure the battery was new and good. When I turn the key it will crank once then all the power dies. Any suggestions on what to do??

Some suggestions

If you have a new battery, it might be a loose power wire to the starter or at the battery terminals. Also, check the groundwire from the battery to the body and engine, make sure the connection is good.
