Carb and Manifold Change

I just started swapping over my 2bb to a 4 bbl on my 65 289. I bought an edelbrock 600 cfm and a Weiand Stealth manifold. As I started to hook things up I noticed that most, if not all of the plumbing and linkages needed to be changed. For example, the throttle linkage doesn't line up with the new carb, the kick down lever is too short, the fuel inlet to the carb was threaded on the old carb and has a nipple on the new one, the vacuum lines don't reach and the vacuum ports on the manifold are too big for the fittings I have. Has anyone else had these problems? Is there a kit or kits I can buy to solve this minor dilemma?

Thanks

You're dealing with the same problems others have had with this swap. Very few intake/carb swaps are direct bolt on deals. Almost none that I can think of. The only one that comes to mind isn't a 2 bbl to 4 bbl swap, but replacing the Autolite 2100 with a Holley 2300 series 2 bbl. Only thing there is moving the fuel line a little. You'll probably need a longer throttle rod, a 4 bbl kickdown rod ( but even then I don't know how it will mate to an Edelbrock carb) Cut your fuel line back to allow room for an inline filter, and finally go get a couple feet of different size vacuum hose and replace/reroute yours with the new stuff. There is no kit, just takes a few trips to the local parts house to get what you need.
