I am trying to change the jets on my Mighty Demon, it seems one jet is just stuck. then to compound the issue the slot is starting to strip which is now making it nearly impossible to get any torque to get it out.

I don't want to damage my carb, so does anyone have any tips on getting out a stuck jet?

Also, as the stock jets are #71's and #79s, if some of you may recall my motor was running way lean on the dyno ~14.2:1, and recommendations on how many numbers I should jump to start with? and do I change the primaries and secondaries the same amount?

That looks nice, but I think it might be too late....I am not sure if that would solve my issue with the slot/head of the jet starting to strip....I will see if i can find one locally.

just use pliers on the side part, then toss the jet. its worthless after that. what was cruise A/F? your floats set properly and can get fuel?

You could try heating up the block and quickly use something to get the jet out. You want the alum to expand while the jet stays cool and smaller. Gotta be quick.
