Carb Question

I have searched but unable to find what I am looking for. I have a 1988 mustang gt with a supercharged 351w in it right now. Currently it is efi. I am looking at going carbed. I have ansd 6al ignition box, pick up in the tank already (long story) and everything related to efi. are carbed and efi dist. different? What is needed to do a full efi to carb swap, including all brakets and cables. can anyone help?
Thanks

distributor is defferent. you can just order one for a 351 from MSD or Mallory or whatever distributor you chose.other then that all i did was usedthe stock harness for the gauges, put in a holley blue 110gph fuel pump an regulator in an threw a intake an carb on. as for boost, if you plan on keep the charger your gonna need a boost referencing carb...holley an demon both make em an i believe there around $500 bucks but dont quote me on it. only thing that i still havent fixed is that the check engine light has been on becuz the carb swap for obvious reason. i just took the bulb out. throttle cable you can get from summit along with the fuel pressure inline gauge like im running. and your msd 6al is the same ignition box i have an will work with carbed obviously. i just posted a pic of my engine bay in the 5.0 talk section you can check it out there. hope this helps an good luck

i would go with a vacuum advance an set up your max advance to be around 1200-1500 under full load, or hard acceleration. ive been hearing bad things about msd distributors but it could be error of who ever put it in idk. but i have a mallory and im just gonna rebuild it.

For a blow through carb setup, don't take any chances...call up The Carb Shop or another reputable professional carb building/modifying company and tell them exactly what your engine setup is with the blower and have them build you a carb specially for what you need. Not only will it be safer but it'll make more power (unless of course you know enough about carbs to do all that yourself).

I would opt for a duel plane intake myself unless you're building a race only engine. You might lose a little top end but you'll more than make up for it on the bottom end. I'd go with a Wieand Stealth.
