carb to efi conversion info needed

I am kicking around the idea of doing a efi conversion on my 79 stang. what is involved to make this swap work, like what parts i need besides the fuel injection stuff and mass air harness and how would it wire up to my stock 79 ignition. any help would b greatly appericated.

dude it would be easiest to use the late tfi ignition. Does your 79 have a return for the fuel system? if it doesent you will need to run a return line for the fuel sys. you will also need a 86 or newer fuel tank(should bolt in place of your old one). And you will need a speed sensor (some say you dont Ihavent personally tried it) also a check engine light, you can use any of the lights currently unused in your instrument panner or just add one. chris
 
The 79 would be best done with as much of the donor stuff as possible.

This would include the engine, trans, engine harness, fuel tank, etc.

The actual gages could be either car, but the dash harness to gage cluster wiring will need to be repinned or the later cluster and harness used.

Save the 79 gas tank, they and the sending unit in them are rare...
