i have a carbureted 90 notchback it has something going on with the ignition, in the day time it seems like a miss but at night you can see a spark jumping across the terminals on the coil and you can see a spark traveling all the way down each sparkplug wire from the distributor all the way to the plugs is this normal? the wires are brand new msd wires and brand new bosch platinum plugs msd blaster 2 coil and mallory unilite distributor. now i changed the coil and it ran decent for about a week then it started doing the same thing? its driving me nuts.. can anyone help? could it be a bad ground or something? the only ground i have is from the battery to the engine block. do i need a ground strap from the engine the the chassis?

Regardless, you should always have a ground from the engine to the chassis. Being that you have such a hot ignition, that could likely be the problem. You should also try Corral.net because they have people that actually answer questions.
