carbed 351 in 95 what year motor to get ?

so ive purchased a 95 non gt car and am planning on the 351 swap...the car will be a street car with occasional roadcorse runs...what year(s) would u guys suggest for the swap? ive been doind a little reasearch on this but wouild like some add. input...thanks in advance

Do you want it to be roller ready or do u want to buy $500 lifters to run a roller cam? Do you want a roller cam?


Answering that will tell u which block u want to get. What HP are u shooting for? If going really high, i'd opt for a old block (69-74 or so).

69-73 or late 80s to current. the older ones are stronger, but the newer ones are still good and strong too

roller blocks started in the mid 90s, F4TE. using hydraulic rollers in a non roller block can get expensive depending on the lift of the cam

and also fwiw, i have a carb and some stuff for the swap that i'd sell cheap just to get rid of it. i was going to convert my 410 to carb and then decided against it.

well id like to be roller just for the fact that i can turn safer higher rpms...as far as HP goes id like to be about 400 at the wheels...im thinking stoker kit and small amount of boost to make this happen...i have access to turbo parts for somthing like this...any thoughs on this ? turbos good for track racing? or is the instant boost going to be a problem with traction ?
